Contacts
A contact is a person at a buyer company, typically whoever sends purchase orders or signs off on them. Dynition uses contacts to attribute incoming POs and to know who to email for buyer approval.
Working with contacts
Browse Contacts, search for someone, and open their record. Like a company, a contact opens on an overview of their recent activity, then has tabs for activity, addresses, documents, and the orders, purchase orders, and quotes they're linked to.
Contacts and companies
A contact usually belongs to a company. That link is what lets Dynition connect a PO from "Jordan at Acme" to the Acme company record, matching the buyer and the person in one step.
Keep the sender's email accurate
POs that arrive by email match fastest when the sender's address is on their contact record. If a PO from a new address gets flagged, confirming it once adds that detail for next time.
