Companies & contacts overview
Companies and contacts are the backbone of Dynition. Every purchase order and order is tied to a company (the buyer organization) and usually a contact (a person there). Keeping these records accurate is what lets Dynition match incoming orders automatically.
Companies vs. contacts
- A company is a buyer organization: its addresses, its orders, and the people who work there.
- A contact is an individual, normally linked to a company. A contact can be the person who sends POs or the one who approves them.
When an order comes in, Dynition matches it to a company and contact. The better your records, the more orders resolve with no review.
Finding records
Browse Companies or Contacts, then search or filter to find a record. Open one to see everything linked to it. See company records for the detail view.
Matching improves over time
Each time you confirm the buyer for a pending order in the review queue, Dynition gets better at matching that buyer automatically.
